Jenny Dyer & Jayce Crowder were up well before sunrise in hopes of riding in one of the hot air balloons during the media flights Friday August 7th, 2009. Unfortunately the wind conditions did not allow the media to ride along in the balloons with the experienced pilots.
The annual balloonfest is a fundraiser and awareness event for the Gatesway Foundation. Click the previous coverage link below for more details on events, locations and times.
Jenny (above) & Jayce had volunteered to provide photos for cvilleok.com and did a great job with these photos. They were disappointed to not get any air time but I'm glad they were not put in an unsafe situation, as the winds were deemed too high at the 6am pilot's meeting. They will both start classes for their senior year at CHS next week but have already been busy with track and football activities this summer. -- Ted Wright 8/7/2009
