International Culture Night April 17th
Dear Mr. Wright,
FCCLA (Family Career Community Leaders of America) has invited you to attend the International Culture Night at Collinsville High School on Friday, April 17th from 5PM-8PM. International Culture Night is dedicated to the variety of different cultures and this is a chance for students, teachers, and even locals to embrace their cultures. Please read the attached flyer and come to help us enjoy this night! If you wish to make a dish, which we would greatly greatly greatly appreciate, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can set up a table for you. International Culture Night is open to all guests, so we encourage you to bring everyone! Please come attend this event with us! You will have a great time and learn lots of new things about other cultures as well as your own. If you have any questions, I will try my best to answer them. Thank you so much!!
-Bea Chang
FCCLA 2009-10 President (4/13/2009)

P.S. - We would greatly appreciate it if you can run a short display on this event. We are in need to people to participate as "countries" also known as bringing in a dish. Unfortunately, this event cannot be continued if we do not get enough participants. Therefore we really hope that it will be a big hit. Thank you very very much!

Have Trees / Need Materials
Ted, The Tulsa Up With Trees organization donated 40 trees to the high school last week. I picked up the trees and brought them to the high school. Now we need help obtaining materials for planting the trees. If anyone has old water hoses (for cutting into 1 foot long pieces to use in staking out the trees) or if anyone has mulch they would like to donate, please contact the high school at 371-3382 and let us know that you have materials to donate, I will be glad to come by and pick the materials up. -- Thanks, Kurt Scullawl (4/13/2009)
I found the link (above) last week to a Collinsville history that I wrote for the Oklahoma Historical Society before the 2007 Oklahoma Centennial for a book they were preparing. They added the photo (from their archives) which is likely a building being moved from Collinsville's original townsite to our current location in either 1899 or 1900.
I had to sign that they would have exclusive publishing rights so have never even used on my own web site but will share this link now.

Wilson Elementary Parent Night
Mr. Wright,
If it's not too late, I would like to ask that your website tell about Wilson Elementary's Parent Night. It is this Thursday, April 16 at 5:30 at Wilson Elementary. The Transitional First, First, Second and Third Grade teachers will be available to show curriculum, answer questions for parents so that they can see what's ahead for the 2009-2010 school year. The PTO is also selling Pizza and Pop, and the Scholastic Book Fair is there with 1/2 price books. The Collinsville Library will be there also with information about the summer reading program. At 5:00 we will be having the first annual First Grade Spelling Bee. Parent Night will begin after that at 5:30.

(You are certainly welcome to attend to report, take pics, etc. and I will send you information about the spelling bee winners!)

Thanks so much!
Lesa Lafferty, First Grade Teacher (4/13/2009)
