State Representative Earl Sears visited the Collinsville Library Friday Nov. 14th to see the Oklahoma history / Centennial books. The books were purchased by the Library with a $500 donation made by Rep. Sears at the January 2008 Chamber of Commerce banquet where he was the keynote speaker. The Library has a display with the books as Oklahoma celebrates 101 years of statehood this November.
Several young students (from ECC) posed with Rep. Sears (above) before listening to Mother Goose tell stories at the Library Friday (below).
Thank You Collinsville!
It is hard to believe that my year as Miss Collinsville’s Outstanding Teen has already come to an end. It has been such an honor to represent the town of Collinsville and to meet so many wonderful people along the way. This year has been a year of much growth for me as I transitioned out of the teen system and into the miss division. I have learned so much and cannot wait to gain more experience and knowledge in the future! I would like to say thank you to my director Arlene Francis for attending the Christmas Parade, Circus, and State Pageant with me this year. You are such a sweet lady! Bill Johnston and Ted Wright thank you both for being so supportive of me and always keeping the town informed about my upcoming performances. I consider you both not only great reporters but also wonderful friends! Thank you also to Brad and Pam for showing me around town and making me feel at home. Allie and Croppers at Croppinsville thank you so much for your unending kindness and hospitality. I had the best looking scrapbook page at Miss Teen Oklahoma thanks to you! You are all amazing! Susan Babbitt you are an amazing woman who really knows how to get things done! Thank you so much for believing in me and being there when I really needed help. I will never forget you! It meant so much to me! The Cunningham’s- Thank you so much for making last year’s pageant a success. You built a beautiful set as well as running the sound. The pageant couldn’t have happened without you! Thank you to the people of Collinsville for allowing me to represent your great town at Miss Teen Oklahoma. Thank you last but not least to everyone who has helped me along the way Esther and Jeff Brown, Michelle Goldstein, Michelle Kostas, and all of the wonderful pageant directors in the Miss Oklahoma pageant system! To my family- the most loving, supportive, giving people I have ever known I am so blessed to have you! Mom and Starlee you are my best friends! Mimi and Papa I know you are my biggest fans!
