Streetscape Progress
Wet concrete for a new sidewalk ramp to the front door of Cribbet's True Value had customers re-directed to their back door Thursday May 22. I'm sure the front door will be accessable again May 23rd. The new sidewalk along the north side of Main from 10th to 11th has been poured now. The main activity on the south side has been between 11th & 12th this week with city utility work ahead of the contractor's work to follow soon. (Previous Coverage)

Jack Mildren Died May 22, 2008
Jack Mildren (former University of Oklahoma wishbone quarterback and former Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor) passed away today at age 58 (according to KJRH Channel 2 10pm news report) . I took this photo in May 1970 after a varsity-alumi game as Mildren (#11) left the field with OU head coach Chuck Fairbanks. -- Ted Wright
