Croppinsville, U.S.A., Opened Collinsville Store May 30th With Cropper'tainment
Croppinsville, U.S.A. is a new Scrappin' and Stampin' Shop owned and operated by Allie Gower. It is located @ 1106 West Main St. in Downtown Collinsville. This store has everything you can imagine and then some to create beautiful scrap books & works of art. Not to mention the amazing talents of Allie, Patti, and Athene showing you how to create your own masterpiece. These ladies make you feel right @ home with their southern hospitality & humor. The store is beautifully decorated & designed for comfort while managing to recycle an entire wall to preserve the historic brick! This atmosphere provides the perfect workplace for scrapbooking. Computers and Wi-Fi are also available for customers. Allie will help you get started with your projects and used her talents to help Collinsville's First Outstanding Teen Jennifay Nichols create her Teen Oklahoma scrapbook page to represent Collinsville. This page will become a part of Oklahoma history and will travel with the Oklahoma Pageant Team. Jennifay wowed the croppers by modeling her competition wardrobe & performing her Talent that she will be singing in Oklahoma's Outstanding Teen Competition at Oral Roberts Mabee Center June 4th - 7th.. Be sure stop in to say hello to Allie, Patti and Athene, and all the croppers soon.
Allie Gower & Jennifay Nichols (Collinsville's First Outstanding Teen) work on a scrap book page.
Even the high cost of gas didn't keep people from strolling by to check out the newest store in town. So load up the horse & buggy & take a trip to Croppinsville for a cropping great time!! Official Grand Opening Celebration planned for August 2008.

Two historic connections to the Croppinsville USA story above: This 1915 photo shows a horse drawn wagon just a few yards from the same spot as the wagon that visited in 2008. That 1915 horse drawn wagon was the delivey vehicle for the Gump & Jones Hardware store located where Bayouth's Insurance is today. For more on the historic preservation of the Steinholtz Building (where Croppingsville USA is now located) see this 2004 Main Street news release. If you would like to view the complete 1915 panoramic photo of Collinsville's downtown visit the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville at 1110 W. Main. -- Ted Wright
