Coach Jim Riley's Summary
Jr High Wrestlers Remain Undefeated
With Win Over Skiatook

The Collinsville Jr High wrestling team remained unbeaten with some late heroics in a 33-31 win over Skiatook. The Cardinals used 5 pins, a decsion and some lineup manuvering to get the right matchups to pull out the victory. After a fall at Hwt by Colby Phillps put the Cardinals up 21-19 Skiatook got a forfeit at 78 lbs to take a 25-21 lead. Skiatook did not have a 86 pounder so that ment Collinsville would get a forfeit. But, instead of taking a forfeit Collinsville double forfeited at 86 lbs (which means neither team would get any points) and bumped regular 86 pounder Dylan Helm up to 94 lbs where Collinsville did not have any one. Helm, after being sick all day, took the challenge and gutted out what looked like was going to be a 6-2 win when he caught the Skiatook wrestler on his back for a fall late in the 3rd period. That gave the Cardinals a 27-25 lead. Coach Wes Harding figured if it worked once it could work again. This time he forfeited at 102 lbs (which gave the Bulldogs a 31-27 lead ) and bumped Jacob Barton up to 110 lbs. The Cardinal wrestler would need a tech fall or pin to pull out the win. Barton made Harding look like a genius as he got the fall in the second period to give Collinsville a 33-31 win.
