Maul
Wins Bobby Lyons Wrestling Tournament Jan. 12th
Collinsville
160 pounder Michael Maul pinnned Blake Rosholt from Ponca City
to win 1st place in the Bobby Lyons wrestling tournament in Sand
Springs this past weekend. Maul beat every wrestler that placed
below him during the 2 day tournament. Dalton Salisbury finished
3rd with a :39 fall over Mondaine of Muskogee in the consolation

Pins
Propel Cardinals Wrestlers To Big Win Over Barnsdall Dec. 20th
Josh Pennington, Michael Pitts, Dalton Salisbury and Trey Rogers
all recorded falls to help propel Collinsville to a 36-33 win
over the Class 2A 4th ranked Barnsdall Panthers. Both Pennington
and Pitts where behind in the match score when they got their
pins. Perhaps the biggest win of the night came at 215 lbs where
Matt West won a 8-4 dec over Barnsdall's Drew Swan. Heading into
the match the Cardinals trailed 33-27. A Cardinal loss would have
sealed the match for Barnsdall. West used 3 takedowns and pair
of escapes to get the win and move the score to 33-30. Allowing
Rogers pin at Hwt to secure the win for Collinsville 36-33. Parker
Reed got a forfeit at 119 labs and Josh Loftin won a 8-1 dec.
Jr High Wresters beat Barnsdall 45-15
Winners for the Jr High were Dylan Helm, Levi McHenry, Jacob Barton,
Conner Nair, Newt Salisbury, Joe Keith, Shane Douglas, Tyler Taber,
and Jacob Smith.

Wrestlers Lose
District Dual to Vinita
A spot in
the Dual State Wrestling tournament was lost Tuesday night when Collinsville
lost their second district match to Vinita 48-27. The Cardinals gave up
too many falls and lost some other close matches to contend with a very
strong Vinita team. Winners for Collinsville were Michael Pitts, Michael
Maul, Dalton Salisbury, Matt West, and Trey Rogers.
Jr High Wrestling Team Stays Unbeaten
The Collinsville
Jr High wrestling team continued its winning ways with a hard fought 42-36
win over Vinita Tuesday night. Cardinal 86 pounder Dylan Helm took the
mat in the last match of the night with the scored tied 36-36. Helm took
little time to pin his opponent to secure the win for Collinsville. Other
winners for the Cardinals were Jacob Barton, Newt Salisbury, Joe Keith,
Tyler Taber, Colton Ousley, and Colby Phillips |
Colt
Morgan was one of the 5 straight CHS wrestlers that got pinned to put Vinita's
varsity out to a 0-30 lead.
Dylan
Helm's pin gave Collinsville a team victory in the last bout of the JrHi match
here Tuesday with Vinita. Dylan wrestled at 86 pounds.
While
the junior high and high school wrestlers competed on the middle school gym
floor, these youth wrestlers were practicing to become Collinsville's wrestling
future in the adjacent wrestling room.
Jacob
Barten in the 102 pound JrHi bout got a pin for the Collinsville team (in light
blue withred edges).
Issac
Dyer couldn't overcome a bloody nose or his 118 pound Vinita JrHi opponent.
Newt
Salisbury won his JrHi at 134 pound bout 9-2.
Darrin
Turner had an advantage here in the 126 pound JrHi match but was pinned later.
Joe
Keith with a pin for the JrHi at 142.
Tyler
Tabor got a pin for the JrHi at 165.
Colton
Ousley pinned his 185 JrHi opponent.
Colby
Phillips got a pin for the JrHi at heavyweight
Jacob
Smith got a pin in exhibition for the JrHi.
