Steven James a 2005 graduate of Collinsville High School and proud member of the Crimson Cadet marching band while at CHS recently graduated from the Naval boot camp at Great Lakes, IL. Steven is now attending "sub school" in Groton, Conn. and then will be on to protecting our country as a crew member aboard a trident nuclear submarine. Steven is the son of Greg and Kim James of Claremore.

TSgt. Kevin E. Caudill of Collinsville is a member of the 138th Fighter Wing of the Oklahoma Air National Guard based in Tulsa. He was deployed to United Arab Emirates in October 2007, and returned home Saturday, February 23rd. He will be attending "Rise and Shine" at Wilson Elementary cafeteria tomorrow, February 26th, 8:15 a.m., to thank the students and staff for their support during the mission.

His current Guard position is in Vehicle Operations; while in the U.A.E., he trained other members to operate trucks, buses, forklifts, and he transported air crews to and from the aircrafts. TSgt. Caudill has been in the Air Force / Air National Guard for a total of over 23 years, with 28 deployments during that time. He also drives a truck for Boise-Cascade in Tulsa.

Kevin is married to Paula Caudill, a second-grade teacher at Wilson Elementary. He is step-dad to Britany Creek, Kim Green, and Sarah Green of Collinsville, Dad to Jordan Caudill of Owasso, and “Papa” to Hunter, Makayla, Nick, and Heather Creek, all of Collinsville.
