Cruizin Coolers Winners / Rodeo
The winners for the Cruizin Coolers are
Friday night - Maria Rivera
Saturday night - Chelsea Cobble

As most of you know, we had a fantastic turnout for the Rodeo on Friday night as well as Saturday night. The weather was awesome, the show went very well and we are extremely pleased with the member participation in working the gates, concession and arena. Thank you everyone!!!

The Benefit for Kenzie Sunday's family went well and we want to also thank everyone who helped put that together - Especially the Driggers Family!

If you are interested in the financial side of the Benefit or Rodeo, please plan to attend the meeting on September 2nd - 7pm, at the CVRUC Arena.

Hope everyone recovers from the weekend in good order....
Have a terrific day.

Just How Far Down Are Those Bricks?
Workers drilled 10 samples in the old Main Street asphalt last Friday (Aug. 15th) testing the depth of the asphalt overlays that cover the original Main Street brick downtown. It was hoped the work to strip the old asphalt and repave would begin this week by the State/ODOT but have seen no equipment or activity yet (Tuesday 4pm Aug. 19th). Other than the trees and 1 more light pole, this would be one of the final steps to complete the downtown beautification project that began in March 2008. -- Ted Wright
(This sample appeared about 5 or 6 inches thick.)
