A David Chester basket with 2:33 left in the game tied the score at 38-38. Collinsville got the ball back and ran off several minutes of clock before a final flurry. Chance Riley put in this shot to put Collinsville up 40-38 with 30 seconds left in the game. Berryhill then scored to tie again at 40-40. Chance Riley put in the final 2 points for a 42-40 win just ahead of the buzzer to avoid overtime.
Tyler Chronister tried this shot with 15 seconds left in the 1st quarter. The Cardinals fought their way back after an 0-11 start to trail 13-20 as the quarter ended. It was known before the game that a Coach Chronister would win and another would lose. Ken (left) coaches Collinsville and his brother Keith coaches Berryhill.
Chance Riley put up this shot in 3rd quarter action.
8 of Chance's 10 total points came in the 2nd half.
Collinsville's defense stiffened after giving up 20 first quarter points. Berryhill scored only 20 points in the final three quarters.
Tyler Chronister led the Cardinals with 14 points (all in the 1st half), David Chester 12, Chance Riley 10, Kevin Phillips 3, Adam Harrell 2 and Kyle Lee Smith 1 point.
Not a good place to be -- on the floor with David Chester hovering above you looking for a landing spot while the basketball heads out of bound early in the 4th quarter.
The Collinsville Cheerleaders and a fair number of Collinsville fans made the trip to Choctaw Thursday to cheer on the Cardinals.
This 4th quarter Kevin Phillips shot rolled all the way around the rim before rolling out.
A 4th quarter Tyler Chronister shot attempt.
Kyle Lee Smith injured his shoulder in 2nd half action but played on. After the game he was in obvious pain and will have the injury examined.

A big thanks to the Stouts and Rileys for the invite and "excellent adventure" to/from Choctaw Thursday.
