"God has worked a miracle here at Collinsville Christian Church. Exactly one year ago our church burned completely and today, with God's help and a lot of hard work, we are enjoying the new facility. We are so excited to invite you to our Special Dedication Service. There will be Special music, special guests and much praise."

First Assembly of God Church

Rev Roy A. Lish became pastor of the First Assembly of God Church on August 27, 2004. Under his leadership, membership in the church has been growing rapidly.

Collinsville is not new to Pastor Lish. He interned here from the early 1970's until he left in 1976, and has always desired to return home to First Assembly. He served 20 years in the U.S. Navy, from 1960 to 1980, during which time he served as a Naval recruiter and chaplain. Pastor Lish has pioneered and pastored churches in four states. He has evangelized in all 50 states and in Romania.

He married Gloria S. (Brooks) Lish in 1961. Mrs. Lish has recorded a number of albums, one song reaching the top of the charts. They had three sons, one of which is deceased. Dr. Roy Allen Lish is currently practicing psychiatry in Fredrich, MD. Their other son, Rev. Scott Odell Lish, pastors a church in Seneca, South Carolina.
