Skate Board Park

Most of these Crimson Cadet band members haven't even met their new band director yet (recently hired Ron Lewis), but that didn't slow their early preparations today for another successful season. The preliminary schedule on the school's web site shows new band members reporting Aug. 1st. The first day of school is Aug. 18th.
Members of the Publications Department for the Society of Exploration Geophysicists toured the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville today. Their office is in Tulsa and the trip was organized by H. R. Mills (3rd from right above), a former employee of my parents at The Collinsville News. -- Ted
This bird was seriously trying to distract me away from something (perhaps a nest?) this afternoon in my backyard.
A full moon was obvious this evening just as the sun was setting.
Hi. My name is Robert and I want some info on the park. Most of my friends and I skateboard and are very exited about the new skatepark. Can you please tell me when the skatepark will be started and completed and the same with the entire park. Thank you. Please e-mail me.

Robert,

I'm glad you are excited about the potential skate park. Unfortunately the concept announced this week is just a first step in a processthat could take years to implement. Establishing a plan and verifying the public support (which you are confirming) will allow the city commission to start setting priorities and looking for funding for each of the items on the wish list.

I would recommend that you and your friends put your own wish list (with drawings) in a letter to the city commission to let them know what features you think would be most useful to you in a small skate park. You can send that to me (to carry forward to the city commission) if you wish.
