Noticed Broadway (just east of 13th Street) was closed Thursday afternoon about 3pm. The city appeared to be making some type of sewer repair and had the roadway blocked for a short time. -- Ted
True Meaning of Christmas?
Meadowcreek United Methodist Church will be presenting "What Will We Do With A Baby?" by Mary Odom on Sunday, December 11th at 6:30 pm. News reporter Sam Bibleson (played by Dave Kuhn) is trying to find the true meaning of Christmas. He visits with Angel Bob (Taylor Holman), Angel Gabriel (Wilson Rubottom), the Inn Keeper (Linda Blunt), and the Shepherds (Lori Harman and Joyce Hodge) to name a few. He ends his investigation by visiting with two modern day shoppers (Melissa Roberts and Jackie Cochran). Christmas music will be performed by the Adult Choir and the Children's Choir. Nursery care for children ages 0-2 will be available.

Following the Christmas play we will have cookies, hot chocolate, and cider in the Parlor and a "special guest" will be here to visit with the children.

Meadowcreek United Church is located at 14205 East 146th St. North in Collinsville. For more information please call 371-3250.
The Comedy of Errors (C.O.E.) Club held a meeting Dec. 1, 2005 at the Collinsville Library for a review of two books. An earlier version of the same club pre-dates the Library built in 1918. The book at left contains minutes of their meetings from 1912-1918.
Silent Auction -- These are just two of the items at the Collinsville Library which are being bid on until December 10th.
The new sidewalk on the east side of City Hall was poured today and forms were in progress for the front of the building. Many (but not all) of the windows have now been installed. (Previous Coverage)
