Middle
School Construction Continues
These
Collinsville Middle School students were checking out the new library and media
center Thursday Aug. 18th on the first day of classes for the 2005-2006 school
year.
The
students (and some parents) had to run a bit of an obstacle course through the
continuing construction at the Middle School.
These
students and teachers were gathered in the new cafeteria and commons area at
the new middle school Thursday for some orientation to the revised campus.
These
middle school students walked from Spring Street to the new cafeteria via 15th
Street to the side entrance as the Center Street entrances are not yet complete.
The buses unloaded on 15th but will pickup on Spring according to Louis Keith
(pending the Center Street opening again).
Middle
School Principal Kelly Hamlin was out directing traffic (as were several faculty
and staff) as they had every street corner and entrance covered to make sure
everyone knew where to go under these new (but temporary) conditions.
