These "big" kids were helping the Wilson kids celebrate the last day of school May 26th.
The Wallace & Rogers One Day Tent Circus was in Collinsville Wednesday May 25th for two shows at the Collinsville Roundup Club grounds just north of town. Riding the elephant (above) are L-R: Emily Elizabeth Wright, Elizabeth Fuller and Emily Fuller. Circus performers sign autographs for the kids (below) after the first show.
Wilson Elementary School kids head out to the buses Thursday afternoon May 26th for the last time this school year as they begin their summer vacations tomorrow.
These Wilson students don't seem too excited to be leaving the play ground for the last time just before the last day of school wrapped up Thursday.
The Wilson playground was supplemented for the last day of school with several Jupiter jumps and slides.
With it's days numbered the Middle School Annex building (formerly Central Grade School) was being emptied Thursday as it has seen it's last students. The building will be demolished soon as the new middle school building on the other end of the block nears completion.
Middle School art teacher, Mrs. Whitaker, told me Thursday she has taugh in this room at the Annex for 22 years (my former 2nd grade room when it was Central Grade School -- Ted)
Coach Joe Ogdon and others were removing items from the middle school annex building Thursday as soon as the students were gone for the summer.
