Collinsville never got untracked in the first half and trailed Jay 0-20 at the half. They did much better in the second half and played pretty even with Jay but losing by a final score of 6-27. A strong wind was a factor in the second half effecting several kicks.

Justin Scott scored Collinsville's only points on a 5 yard carry at 3:09 in the third quarter. That Collinsville drive consisted mainly of Nick Rabbitt rushes all the way from midfield. The Card's extra point kick was blocked.

The Collinsville Band performed their annual light show (as planned and practiced). The Jay band followed and had to start their show in the dark (unplanned) as the lights took several minutes to turn back on.
But for this shirt tail tackle, Nick Rabbitt would have covered all 50 yards of this Collinsville drive in 4 carries. Nick was stopped on the 5 yard line above, and Justin Scott covered the last 5 yards for Collinsville's only score (in the third quarter).
Chad Ausmus seperated the Jay quarterback from the ball and Collinsville recovered at their own 30 yard line 5:12 before half time.
With Jay's band starting their program in the dark ... it did add a bit to the effect as it slowly became apparent each band member was wearing a mask matching the "Phantom of the Opera" theme of their show.
Jay's elusive quarterback (#7) was almost stopped at the line on this play, but he broke free for Jay's third touchdown of the first half
