The results of Tuesday's city charter election were validated Wednesday morning as shown in the composite photo above. (From left to right:) Ward 4 Commissioner Brad Overholt, Ward 3 Commissioner Stan Sallee, Mayor Michael Sirmon, City Clerk Dana Conner, Ward 2 Commissioner Gail Rogers and Ward 1 Commissioner Pam Porter examine the registered voters lists and unused ballot sequence numbers for each ward. The four commissioners validated the results which had more than 72% of those voting Nov. 18th reject the proposed changes to the city charter.
Two of the city's 4 polling places are show on the rainy election day Nov. 18th.
