Collinsville
Mayor Michael Sirmon (above) congratulates the band members after winning their
10th straight state championship and 9th consecutive OBA championship. It's
hard to tell if the smiles are from just winning OBA or from picturing the Mayor
& certain band boosters' pledge to "parade down Main Street in drag"
if the band won. The Mayor told them that "event" would be "scheduled"
soon.
The
state champs were escorted through downtown Collinsville by an ambulance &
fire truck after midnight Saturday on their return from OBA in Broken Arrow.
