The
Collinsville High School Band has just had their highest ever number of members
make the All-State Band. Naomi Nelson, Kim Green, Kendal Wolfe and alternate
Adam Moore first auditioned for All-District on Nov. 8th. They had their All-State
audition Saturday, Dec. 6th.
According
to band director Stefanie Cottrell, the All-District
Bands (which includes several more Collinsville band members) will
preform Jan. 10th at the Shangrila Resort (on Grand Lake). The All-State Band
performs Jan. 31, 2004 at the Performing Arts Center in Downtown Tulsa sponsored
by the Oklahoma Music Educators Association. The All-District performance is
free. Tickets are required for the All-State Concert.
Naomi
Nelson was a member of last year's All-State Band also (along with other Collinsville
flutes, Emily Wright and alternate Pascalle Clark).
Just
a few of Collinsville's many All-District Band members celebrate after their
performance last January (2003) at Shangrila.
