That's right folks! The end of the year Band Banquet is upon us! If you've attended our banquets in the past, you know how truly special they are! Please join us May 4, as we celebrate this year's accomplishments as well as pay tribute to our OUTSTANDING seniors:

Fundraising Opportunities

· We are still collecting receipts from the Collinsville Mazzios. You can drop off your receipts at the Collinsville Library, or mail them addressed to: Collinsville Band Boosters, P.O. Box 274, Collinsville, OK 74021.

· We have an ongoing fundraiser with Cartridge World for collecting used printer cartridges for cash. We have a drop-off box at the Collinsville Library and at the Band Room.

Congratulations to Kelsey Haymaker who was presented a $500 WGPO Scholarship at the State Guard Competition. This scholarship program is awarded to only two seniors in the state of Oklahoma each year.

Way to go Kelsey!

All trip monies should have been turned in. If money is still owed for the trip, please turn in ASAP! Trip account information is posted in the band room.

Our sensational drum major, Saxon Lewis will be graduating! Thanks for your leadership throughout this year!

Good luck to all the candidates auditioning for the 2008-2009 CCC Drum Major position. The auditions will be held Friday, May 2!

Those who would still like to order a CCC Band Hoodie for $35, please contact Lillian Elmore, 637-7428. If we can get at least three more interested parties, we can place another order!

State Contest Results

The CCC High School Band competed in the State Concert Band Contest in Stillwater on April 16th. They received Superior ratings in both the stage and sight-reading competition. As a result, they earned the OSSAA Sweepstakes Award, the highest award a band can earn in the state of Oklahoma!!
