INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 6
TULSA COUNTY, OKLAHOMA
As required by
Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given
that the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 6 of
Tulsa County, Oklahoma, will hold a SPECIAL
MEETING on June 1, 2016 at 12:00 oclock Noon, at
the Education Service Center, Collinsville Public Schools, 1902 West
Maple, Collinsville, Oklahoma.
AGENDA
The following
is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education
at the above meeting:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Roll call. -- All Present: Stout, Ostrander,
Johnson, Morrison, and Reed
3. Board to consider and take possible action, in the absence of the
President and/or Clerk, to appoint an acting President and/or acting
Clerk for the School District to execute any and all documents pertaining
to the bond sale. -- n/a
4. Board to receive bids for the $2,760,000 Combined Purpose Building
Bonds of this School District and take action to award bonds to the
lowest bidder. -- Approved, 5 bids were received,
the RCB/Country Club Kansas City bid of 1.310644% was accepted. United
Missouri's bid was slightly lower (1.295231%) but they did not have
a valid bid as the check was not included. The other bids were from
Exchange Bank (1.699523%), American Bank Oklahoma (2.07%), and First
Banker's Bank St. Louis (1.386742%).
5. Board to consider and take action on a resolution providing for
the issuance of combined purpose building bonds in the sum of $2,760,000
by this school district, authorized at an election called and held
for such purpose; prescribing form of bonds; providing for registration
thereof; designating registrar and paying agent for this issue of
bonds; providing for levy of an annual tax for the payment of principal
and interest on the same; and fixing other details of issue.

6. Board to consider and take action on a resolution designating the
general obligation bonds of 2016 as Qualified Tax-Exempt Obligations
pursuant to Section 265(b)(3)(B) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

7. Proposed Executive Session to Discuss Resignations and Hiring of
Temporary Certified Staff (as attached) and High School Principal.
Pursuant to 25 O.S. § 307 (B) (1) of the Open Meeting Law, so
that the Board May Return to Open Session And Vote to Accept or Not
Accept Resignations and Hiring of Temporary Certified Teachers (as
attached) and High School Principal for the 2016-2017 School Year.

8. Discussion and Vote to Hire High School Principal.
-- Approved, the hiring of Scott Kiker. Scott had been assistant principal
at Broken Arrow's freshman center. The former teacher/coach is ~38
years old. A 9-member selection committee (of
parents/teachers) narrowed the choice from 30 applicants down to just
a few before Superintendent Lance West made the final decision.
