the Cooperatives more than 3,200-square mile service territory daily maintaining

AGENDA
1. Call to Order.
2. Roll Call: -- All Present: Cheryl Hunt, Glen Reser, Ted Wright, Pam Webb, Eddie Tidwell
3. Approval of minutes from June 19, 2012 Regular Meeting and July 31, 2012 Special Meeting. -- Approved
4. Discussion and possible action on new play equipment at Charlies Park. -- Approved, recommendation to sell "spare" play equipment to First Baptist (or any other interested church) as the school was not interested. The other recently purchased play equipment will be installed at Charlie's Park as soon as themanufactures schedules the install, In the meantime the city will determine trim-vs-removal of the large trees there after a big limb fell over the weekend. Approved, recommendation to add picnic table.
5. Discussion
and possible action on sidewalks to City Park. -- Tabled
with two main topics discussed
* potential alternatives to former concept to build sidewalk from Main to
Park along 19th Street (from same timeframe as bond for other park improvements).
* Phase III Streetscape (13th to 14th on Main ... but also sidewalks from
Middle School to Park .. from Spring mid-park to potentially tie to new trail)
... not yet approved/funded.
6. Discussion and possible action on Sand Volleyball court at City Park. -- Tabled, discussed potential design with including french drains. City staff and bord will continue to investigate designs, location, and cost estimates.
7. Discussion and possible action on Pond Feature at City Park. -- Tabled, basically a followup on the discussion from the joint session with the commission to bring the two new park board members up to speed. Also discussed alternative ways to utilize splash pad water (for watering grass) without a pond.
8. Discussion on Land and Water Conservation Grant. -- status update on recently announced preliminary grant approval. The $123K would need to matched by the city withthe primary features being two new pavilions, additional parking, landscaping and a trail connect to the pavilion parking. Park board requested briefing from LandPlan for project status and to get new members up to speed.
9. New Business. -- none
