5) Approval of Purchase Orders and Payment of Purchase Orders – FY2011 General and Building Funds and All District Funds - Approval of Budgets, Reports, Allocations and Investments.
6) Discussion and Vote to Approve Activity Fund Fundraisers.
7) Discussion and Vote to Approve FY11 Contract for Vocational Programs.
8) Discussion and Vote to Approve Gifted/Talented Education Plan and Committee Members.
9) Bids and Purchases: Lease Purchase Copier for Herald Elementary.
10) Discussion and Vote to Approve Policy on Felony Record Searches and Employment Background Checks.

11) Discussion and Vote to Amend Policy Changes to Athletic Revenue Policy and Procedures.

No. We just added a sentence that allowed adinistration to ok the carry over of funds raise by a certain sport into that sports fundraiser account. Previously it had stated that all funds roll over to the general athletic account. -- Jim Riley (Oct. 5, 2010) ----------- Jim, I missed the first half of the school board meet (while at the city meet) last night. Was there a significant change to the "Athletic Revenue Policy"? -- Ted

12) Discussion and Vote to Set Special School Board Meeting Date. -- approved training session Oct. 19th (6-9pm) at Bailey in Owasso

13) Resignations: Sherri Shackleford, CNP HE Floater. -- approved

14) Hiring of Personnel: -- approved
a) HS Social Studies Teacher. -- Brian Phillips (will also help with several coaching duties including football & track) ... a CHS grad
b) HE Special Needs TA. -- MissyPatterson -- Had worked at Verizon 7 years
c) CNP – HE – Floater. -- Carla McGara?
d) HS Snack Bar Part-time. -- Karen ___?

15) Assistant Superintendent’s Report. -- Lance West reported on the following topics:
-- Edit meeting on curriculum development successful
-- Reading & Math emphasis increased
-- Middle school science grant from OU
-- E2020 at HS ... 140 students using virtual classroom ... mostly remedial but a few for new credit. (Also 23 at alternative school)
-- Working on technology plan for personnel development use of the I-Pads
-- Mass/Parent Portal & school messenger now in use

16) Superintendent’s Report. -- Terry Due reported on the following topics:
-- compliment staff on accreditation process
-- 2642 total district students ... looks like will be staying in 5A (sports) class
-- $421K new "JOBS" stimulus dollars can be used for salaries ...and to be spent this year
-- Maybe spring bond ... will start discussing next month
-- $17K per student spending is 6th in nation? ...but common ed is 49th nationally

17) Announcements. -- CHS volleyball & softball regionals this week ... plus football Thurs-Fri-Sat

18) New Business: (if any, of an emergency nature or that was not known at the time the agenda was posted). -- none
