All persons interested in attending the Regularly Scheduled School Board Meeting for Collinsville Public Schools, Independent District I-6, should make plans to attend the meeting at the following date, time and place to wit:

2) Record of Members Present and Absent.

5) Approval of Purchase Orders and Payment of Purchase Orders - FY2010 General, Building, Building Bond (32), Building Bond 2009 (35) and FY09 General Reserves, All District Funds - Approval of Budgets, Reports, Allocations and Investments.

9) Discussion and Vote to Approve Election Call Resolution, Post #5.

10) Discussion and Vote to Amend Student Drug Policy.
-- approved (the policy will be strengthened by switching to random testing (a few athletes each month - unannounced) instead of all the first week of school.
11) Bids & Purchases:
a) Wilson Elementary Copier.
-- approved (replacing worn out 10 year old copier)
12) Hiring of Personnel:
a) Deann Fuller, Special Needs Teacher MS.
-- approved (already a long-term sub, will be paid from stimulus funds)
13) Ace Remediation Plan Update for FY10.
-- no vote (just FYI for board) report on remediation for students not passing tests for "No Child Left Behind" program. Some are web based training with teacher supervision. Example: 8th graders not passing reading or math test get remedial instruction as freasman. There may also be a summer algebra I program.

14) Assistant Superintendent’s Report. -- Terry Due reported on the following topics:
* Still have roof leaks ($10K spent recently): MS gym (west side), HS office, and Wilson gym.
* ECC ground water leaks & window leaks. Likely some sheetrock replacement under warranty.

* Adjusting thermostats to save $'s.

15) Superintendent’s Report. -- Pat Herald reported on the following topics:
* Funding cutbacks from state (with collections down about 25% each month recently) are still ausing confusion with no definitive direction on funding at local level. State Representative Earl Sears is expected to attend the December board meet here to provide what information he has by then. 90% of school budget is salary which can not be cut by state law so cuts come from the remaining 10%.
* Turning off as many computer as possible when not in use is hoped to save energy expenses.


16) Announcements.
Jim Riley reported on "Outstanding Fall Sports":
* State Champion Cross Country Team (4 All-Staters and Coach of Year)
* Regional Champs / Top 4 in State Softball (2 All-State & 1 Alternate)
* CHS Football in Playoffs (at Sallisaw Friday)

Miss Riggs' 3rd Grade Class made a presentation to the School Board Monday.
Several board members inspected the new special needs school bus with wheelchair tiedowns (above) and lift gate (below) before Monday's meeting.
