Thank You
The family of Millard Smalygo wishes to thank everyone for the kind words, food, cards, flowers, and memorials in his honor. A special thank you to Summer, Millard’s Hospice nurse - you were so kind to all of us. Thank you, Pastor Helmer Johnson and Rick Brinkley for the wonderful service - it was truly a celebration of Millard’s life, which was what he had requested. Thank you, Mary Macy, for your music. We also appreciated the kindness shown to us by everyone at Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. Thank you to Faith Circle of Community Church for serving a wonderful dinner and to all of you who prepared the food. Thank you, John Hall and Dr DeJarnett for taking Millard to town for coffee - he looked forward to those trips.

With thankful hearts.

May 11th Park Board Meeting
The Collinsville Park Board met Monday May 11, 2009 with members Dee Sink, Rusty Poindexter, Joe Ogdon and Ted Wright attending. Pam Webb was unable to attend. The board voted to recommend (to the City Commission) that the city proceed with previous park plans with revisions to move the basketball court away from the younger kids area and to salvage the large pool building for park storage. The topic might be on the city commissions agenda for May 18th.
I know these are difficult times but borrowing almost half for every federal dollar spent seems too much?
