The
City of Collinsville is proud to announce the launch of cityofcollinsville.com
the official website for Collinsville, Oklahoma. The comprehensive site features
fresh new content and detailed information about everything Collinsville. The
most unique feature is that it allows users to view and submit event information
to a centralized community calendar. The calendar will allow residents and visitor
to always know what is going on in Collinsville.
Cityofcollinsville.com
was designed by Green Country based Torxweb Design www.torxweb.com. The site design
includes a state of the art content management system with interactive elements
that will help maintain a dynamic, up to date website. "Our goal was to provide
Collinsville with a professional web presence that would have all the tools necessary
to grow with the city", said Rob Nichols a web developer from Torxweb.
Cityofcollinsville.com was designed to serve the residents of Collinsville,
but it was also designed to promote the economic opportunities available in Collinsville.
The site showcases Collinsville's demographic profile to investors with the hopes
of enticing them to recognize Collinsville's retail potential. Any city
marketing themselves to national retailers needs a cutting edge website, and if
they don't, they will be left behind especially in this economy. This website
will be a great asset to the City of Collinsville, said Rickey Hayes of
Retail Attractions, Economic Development Consultant for the City of Collinsville.
And the launch couldn't have come at a better time. Collinsville has an important
tax vote on April 7th, and the website will provide information including the
proposed tax rate, projects to be completed and architectural renderings of the
projects. The city encourages you to check out their new website at www.cityofcollinsville.com.

Wright Note: City
Manager Pam Polk indicated there is still some work in progress on the new official
city web site, including the online bill payment feature and online agendas /
minutes for city meetings. Agendas
and my intrepretation of results for city meeting for the past six years can still
be found on my cvilleok.com "unofficial" city
government index page with links to those 2003-2009 meetings. |
