| Ted, I noticed your article on the Pelizzoni Mountain Climbers and wondered if you would like more info on Ryan. He now works in Seward, Alaska for Exit Glacier Guides (www.exitglacierguides.com). He and his father have summited on Kilimanjaro, been to Base Camp on Mt. Everest and then over to summit Lobuche. He often encounters a bear on his guided tours up to Exit Glacier and I have a picture of him with the bear. Also he and two of the other guides crossed the Harding Ice Field from Seward to Homer. Harding Icefield Crossing (L-R): Ryan Fisher (co-owner of Exit Glacier Guides),
Ryan Pelizzoni, and Dan Schieffelin (another guide and the one who wrote the Adventures
Across an Icefield article). Also, if you go to photobucket (where they posted photos of the crossing), when they speak of Ryan it is Ryan Fisher and needless to say Pzone is Ryan Pelizzoni. |

| I asked for photos of how folks are staying cool during the recent 100 degrees days ... and received this one Saturday (June 27, 2009) which I beleive is Marysa Trost using wet towels to stay "cool" at a softball tournament. -- Ted |
