What a grand finale to a great season! The Collinsville HitMen had a great season of baseball this Spring. The post-season tournament showed the tenacity of these young men. With a quick loss early in the tourney they had a long day on Saturday June 6th if they were to take the Championship – 7 straight wins. The team played with more heart than anyone could imagine as they started the day off early with a victory which set the tone for the day. That first triumph was followed by four more consecutive wins. Their 6th game of the day was a nail-biter as the HitMen jumped up on their league nemesis, the Raptors. After 11 straight hours of baseball for the HitMen, the Raptors rallied back to take the championship, and the HitMen were the runners up for the 8U Northeastern Oklahoma Baseball League. This season might be over, but the boys will stay busy in the off-season working on all of the new skills and drills needed to step up into 10U Kid Pitch next Spring.
