John David Tattershall was born October 5, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to John A. Tattershall and Sue (Garrison) Mayes. He departed this life on Monday, April 13, 2009, at the age of 40 years, 6 months, and 8 days.

John grew up in the Tulsa area. He had lived in Skiatook for the past 3 months. John has served as a police officer in Collinsville, Hulbert, and Tahlequah. He also had served in the army National Guard for some time.

John was a member of the F.O.P. He enjoyed music. He also loved to go fishing and watch movies. He will be missed dearly.

John is survived by: his wife, Amy of the home, 4 children: Colton Ian Tattershall of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Jamy McIlvane, Troy McIlvane and Jentry McIlvane all of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, his mother: Sue Mayes and husband Edward of Tulsa, Oklahoma, 2 brothers: Richard Tatershall and wife Diane of Skiatook, and Jeffrey Tattershall of Murphy Oklahoma, several aunts and uncles including : Dean and Dixie Stgafford of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Dewey and Pat Garrison, Ray and Brenda Garrison, Steve and Pam Garrison all of Rose, Oklahoma, and Carolyn and Leonard Smith of Locust Grove, Oklahoma: numerous other relatives and a host of friends
