Just wanted to let you know so you could post it about the death of my dad, David Dean Hunt. He passed away last evening at the age of 76 after a long illness. I will let you know about funeral arrangements once they have been set and the survivors. Thank you, Donna Sears (4/17/2009)

David Dean Hunt, 76, of Collinsville, OK, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 in Tulsa, OK. He was born July 7, 1932 in Coffeyville, KS to Carl R. Hunt and the former Eydthe McKerlie. He married Wanda Chaney on December 4, 1954 in Coffeyville, KS. He retired from American Airlines in 1989 after 35 years of service. He worked there as a mechanic, Inspector and a Crew Chief. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving his country from 1952 to 1955 with the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Wanda R. Chaney Hunt. Children: Donna Sears and her husband Carl, Brad Hunt, Bret Hunt and his wife Patricia, Eyde Redfearn her husband Randy. Nine Grandchildren: Stephanie Hunt, Sandra Hunt Justus, Kristina Morland Meyer, Tony Morland, Taylor Sears, Robert Redfearn, Patrick Hunt, Josh and Jordan Hunt. Six Great-granchildren: Cordell and Andrew Justus, Jeven Meyer, Mia Morland, Jaden Hunt and Sierra Tucker. Also his 97 year old father, Carl R. Hunt of Coffeyville, KS. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews, and a granddaughter-in-law, Rebeca Castillo and Erin Redfearn.

Mr. Hunt was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge #165 and the Order of the Eastern Star #270 of Collinsville and a 32nd Degree Mason Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville with Rev. Jim Carty officiating. Interment will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK. Visitation will be Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
