Linsey
Curtis (#21 left) provided a first inning double for the only run the Lady Cards
needed in the first game as Kylee Cole (#7 right) pitched a no-hit shutout with
a 7th inning walk allowing Mannford's only baserunner. The final score was 3-0
in the first game. Collinsville was up by 2 in the 2nd game when I left. -- Ted
Six
senior players and a senior trainer were recognized Wednesday with a rose and
a gift bag. Although it was not quite their last game (with a 2nd Mannford game
immediately following and the Classic rescheduled to this week and hopefully plenty
of post season play) there were still a few tears and hugs. L-R Carrie Coulter,
Devin Herrel (6), Brittany Scott (13), Brittni Schmauss (35), Kristie Moore (25),
Jessie Henry (3), and Linsey Curtis (21).
Jessie
Henry (#3) with a catch in the 1st inning of the 2nd game.
Kylee
Cole fielding a bunt for a 1st game out.
Kristie
Moore was pitching the second game against Mannford here Wednesday.
Shortstop
Kristina Shearer (#4) couldn't get an out on this diving stop in the 2nd game
but kept the ball in the infield.
Lacie
Cook (#5) sliding into 3rd in the 1st inning of the second game.
Kristie
Moore (#25) cruised into 2nd base with a 2 run double (off the center field wall)
in the 1st inning of the second game.
