The
CHS girls beat Skiatook 50-46. Kelsi West (#12 left) scored 23 points.
The
CHS boys beat Skiatook 80-77 in overtime. Adam Harrell (#22 left) scored 26 points
in regulation & at least 6 more in OT.
Ted
Wright Editorial Comment: The girl's win was especially satisfying as the
Skiatook students confirmed once again they are the rudest basketball "fans"
I see each year. |
CHS
Basketball Cheerleaders (L-R): Jenifer Dyer, Paige Turner, Mercades Jessie, Beth
Ruddle, Chancy Coulter, Shelby Charles, Heather Warnock and Tristan Warren. The
Cardinal (Katie North) plays basketball so wasn't available until the boys game.
Rachel
Pitts (#23), Kelci West (#12) & Green
(#1)
Thomas
Isam (#33) came this close to giving the Cards a win in regulation but the shot
missed and the boys game went to overtime tied 66-66. Thomas sat out half the
game after getting 3 first quarter fouls but was still around for this shot. He
fouled out in the overtime period.
Linsey
Curtis (#25) scored 11 total points including these 2 clutch free throws with
a minute left in the game to bring the score to 45-41. Linsey knew she had to
make them as she had already drawn a technical foul which then sent Skiatook to
the line for a 45-43 score.
Check
back later (over the Thanksgiving weekend) as I hope to add another page with
a few photos from the JV games. -- Ted Wed. 11/26/2008 4:30pm
