| Paul Leroy Winton, 67, of Merritt Island (Florida) passed away May 12, 2008 in his home surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Coweta, Oklahoma March 1941, moved to the space coast in 1966. Paul dedicated 37 years to KSC; the Apollo program through the Shuttle; retiring in March 2000. His contributions to the space program and the people he touched are unsurpassed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ruby Winton; survived by his wife Gloria Winton, Merritt Island, FL who he married in 1984; brothers Gary and Dennis Winton, Collinsville, OK. Sister Ann Owens, Vera, OK; daughter Andrea Winton, Collinsville, OK; son Tracy Winton, Satellite Beach and daughter Tammy Lima, Orlando; granddaughters, Nelisa and Brittany Lima and Courtney Winton. Memorial Service will be held at Wylie-Baxley Funeral home, 1360 N. Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL on May 17, 2008 at 11am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The American Cancer Association for further cancer research. |
