Vacation Bible School (July 21-25)
Collinsville Community Church invites all the children, ages 5 years old to 6th grade, in Collinsville and surrounding area to join us at SonHarvest County Fair!

"We're ready for a Vacation Bible School children will never forget," said Helmer Johnson pastor of Collinsville Community Church. SonHarvest County Fair is a fun and exciting place where children learn to apply Biblical teaching to their lives. Children will have a great time singing, creating crafts and playing games. Most important, they'll discover Bible truths about growing the fruit of God's Spirit.

SonHarvest County Fair begins July 21 and continues through July 25. VBS times are 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Collinsville Community Church located at 14th & Oak, Collinsville, OK. A hot dog and all the fixings lunch will celebrate at the finale presented by the children Sunday, July 27. We want to invite all the parents to come here what their children learned during our SonHarvest County Fair and participate with us in the fun we have at VBS. For information, call 371-2622.

Marysa Trost Colorado Softball

Ted,
I was sent a message about Marysa Trost, a student athlete at Collinsville Public Schools. She is on a competitive fast pitch softball team who traveled to Colorado this week for tournament play. There were 70 teams in her particular age division from all over the United States. I was notified this morning Marysa and her team placed 5th out of 70 teams! She is the daughter of Jeff and Kathy (a second grade teacher at Wilson elementary) Trost.

Ward-Wiseman Animal Haven News
Petey was abandoned or left home on his own??? He was very hungry and needed a place to call home even if for a few days.
He is being fostered by a President of FOCAS, Lynn Spahr....he is very skinny, is calm and very thankful to get a few square meals. Will go to vet on Monday for a check up...

Let me know if you are interested in Petey

This morning someone dropped a blue heeler pup at WWAH...probably about 6 months old...very sweet...will get shots etc tomorrow.

We had a good adoption weekend...3 kittens, one cat and one dog with hopes for one more dog....

The Tulsa Drillers organization has invited WWAH to bring our orphans to the game on July 15 to show them to the fans, take adoption applications, and collect donations for their care. If you would like to join us and help walk the dogs and show the kittens we could use your help
The pups wear cute "adopt me" vests for their walks around prospective parents.
I will get you a ticket to the game...Drillers are playing Springfield.

NEED foster families for the pets....and any ideas on how to put together a foster family campaign?

A few of the WWAH dogs at the Collinsville City park hoping to be adopted before the fireworks July 3rd, 2008.
These dogs were removed from the park well before the explosions began ... but I've heard reports of other dogs that bolted from their owners in the park or ran away in other parts of town. Remember each year that the fireworks are are pretty terrible time for our pets. -- Ted
