Airman Michael Ray Vaughn will be returning home from the United Arab
Emirates in Southeast Asia with the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing in support
of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom on January 12th
at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, OK. Michael is an Aircraft Maintenance Technician on E-3 AWACS - Airborne Warning and Control System that provides all-weather surveillance, command, control and communication, provides direct information needed for interdiction, reconnaissance, airlift and close-air support for friendly ground forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. It also provides information for commanders of air operations to gain and maintain control of air battle. Michael has been selected for promotion to Staff Sergeant effective July 1, 2008. He is a 2003 graduate of Collinsville High School. He is the son of Mike & Tonya Vaughn of Collinsville, Husband to Kyndall Vaughn of Oklahoma City, OK. Brother to David Vaughn of Norman, OK. & Jessica Vaughn of Stillwater, OK. Grandson of Earl & Joyce Vaughn of Collinsville and the late Raymond & Dollie Swarer. There will be a Welcome Home Gathering On Saturday, January 19th at the home of his parents beginning at 2:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend!
