Cardinals 6th grade football team took 1st place at a tournament in Monroe Louisiana
November 22nd-23rd.There were 13 teams in our age group from different cities
and states but we were the only team from Oklahoma. Disappointed about not bringing
home the INFC championship, the Cards showed power, discipline, and teamwork by
winning it all this weekend. Ferrimore Falcons were 29-0 & the 2 year champs before meeting Cville in the 1st round. Cards won 20-12. Lakeshore Lions were the 2nd victim falling to the Cards @ 38-0. Championship game was against the Shreveport Broncos. The Cards represented Oklahoma well by taking 1st with a score of 38-6. Almost every player on the team including the linemen had the opportunity to carry the ball & many scored touchdowns or extra points. Great job on an exciting season. Congratulations Cardinals!! |
