Kylee Cole shutout the Oologah softball girls Monday but the Oologah pitcher matched that result for 7 & 3/4 inning. Lacie homered with 2 outs in the 8th inning giving the Lady Cards a win here Monday evening.
Rachel Pitts with a foul popup catch.
Marysa Trost had reached base on a single in the 2nd inning but was considerably out on this steal attempt with the tag by Oologah's Amber Allen.
Oologah had a 7th inning threat with a lead off single that got between both Lacie Cook (on 3rd) and Kristina Shearer (diving shortstop). Pitcher Kylee Cole took the following bunt to 2nd to get the lead runner with Shearer making a scoop on a low throw.

Notes from Monday (8/25): Check back for Oologah softball photos ... I hated to leave with the score still 0-0 after 7 innings but had to cover the band preview that started at 7pm ... wondering who won? -- Ted
I knew immediately who won as soon as I opened my email inbox Tuesday and "softball" was in the subject line of 4 emails. Carolyn's was the earliest one so it was used:
-- [The Lady Cardinals won 1-0 last night with a homer over the fence by Lacie Cook. Way to go girls. -- Carolyn Jensen 8/26/2008] ... in bottom of 8th inning with 2 outs ...

Notes from Tuesday (8/27): Tulsa World has Collinsville rated #6 in 5A softball with a 9-1 record. (8/27/2008)
