To The Finest People In Oklahoma:

Wow ... the last month and a half has been a complete whirlwind for me! I come to you as the new Miss Oklahoma with much gratitude and extreme appreciation for everything this town has done for me. I first want to thank my family and my friends for their constant encouragement and never ending love. To Grandma, Mom and Dad, Mimi, Papa, my sister Brooke, and all my aunts and uncles: thank you so much for never giving up on me. I love you with all my heart. To the York Family: you will always have a special place in my heart. I still get surprised when the family trudges down to Timbuktu to see me compete. I can't tell you how much that means to me. To my favorite dance teacher, Anita Foster, and my entire dance family at Attitude's Dance Studio: Thank you for being the most significant support system I could have asked for. I'll never forget my first pageant when the entire dance studio showed up in "We Love Kelsey" t-shirts and cheered relentlessly for me even though, quite frankly, I was pitiful.

Growing up in Collinsville has been such a blessing. I have a million people to thank, starting with my teachers: thank you for believing in me and pushing me to my limits! There were also many amazing people who provided funding to help me get to where I am today. Thanks to RCB Bank, Whirlpool Corporation, Schultheiss Insurance, and Reynolds Funeral Service for sponsoring me in the program book for Miss Oklahoma. I also want to thank Dr. Len Hart for putting up with me all these years ... and also providing funding to go to the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. There are even more people in Collinsville who financially assisted me, including Dr. James E. Hereford, Lynne Kincaid with Essential Kneads, Liberty Tax Service (thanks Kim for also letting me take your son to Prom), and Lester and Donna Alcorn. It's amazing that all these individuals worked together to make my dreams come true. I can't thank you all enough.

The Miss America Pageant begins on January 19th, and I couldn't be more excited ... especially because I know I have the support of my hometown. I am so honored to be representing Collinsville and all of the wonderful people who reside here. If anyone feels they deserve a vacation to Vegas, I need all the support I can get! I have included ticket sales info below for anyone who is interested. Again, I am so thankful for this town and all the support you have provided. I love ya'll!

With Much Love and and Many Blessings,
Kelsey Cartwright
