Young Former Resident On The Field
At Detriot-Denver Football Halftime
Hi Ted,
My name is Jeff Krausse. My family and I used to live in Collinsville before my job transferred us to Michigan. My wife and I were very involved in the community and especially in the youth football program where I served on the board with Mark Coulter and was an assistant coach (who are now the Freshman) with Scott Lowe, Steve Majike and many others.

The reason I am writing is, I now am coaching my son's 8 and 9 year old football team here in Michigan. This past Sunday (Nov. 4th) my team played at the half time of the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos on Ford Field in Detroit. Our local newspaper covered the experience.

We just thought some old friends in Oklahoma may enjoy reading about the awesome experience that we had (with an Oklahoma twist). Although we wish all of my sons old friends would have been here to experience it with us.
Thank you, -- Jeff Krausse (11-5-2007)

Followup: We moved in March of 2005. Scott Lowe and I ran the offense for his son's team starting in 4th grade through 6th grade. My son wasn't old enough at the time (needless to say). A lot of what we did back then, I instilled in this new team.

Bedfordnow.com is the site. It is titled an ‘Experience of a lifetime'. The Publisher told me that this is a small article but this Thursday he is going to do a big story on it. You may want to wait until that comes out. My son is Tanner and he was the QB to start the Scrimmage. -- jk

No Powder Puff Football?
When I inquired this week about the date for the annual powder puff games (CHS girl's flag football), I discovered that the event would not be sponsored by the schools this year. CHS Principal Cory Slagle left open the possibilty of some other organization carrying on the tradition? -- Ted
