4. Discussion and possible action to re-bid the trash service for the City of Collinsville. -- Motion to not re-bid was approved.

5. Discussion and possible action on assuming the responsibility of operations of the trash service for the City of Collinsville. -- Motion approved for the City to take over the trash collection service. In the discussion, City Manager Pam Polk reported she thought the city could do the trash collection and provide better service than the city had gotten the past three years with the Waste Connection contract. Commissioner Pam Porter reported the city had collected the trash for many years before it was contracted out. Mayor Stan Sallee stated the city was already responsible and handling the trash collection directly could generate some positive revenue and provide an opportunity to cut costs. Owasso, Skiatook and Hominy have city managed trash collection and they all have to use dump locations they do not own. Collinsville would have a similar remote dump situation.

6. Discussion and possible action to purchase and/or lease equipment for the operations of the trash service for the City of Collinsville. -- A motion was approved to have the City Manager determine the best available options for trucks, polycarts, dumpsters and dump agreements. Waste connection has made an offer to the city of $38 each for the polycarts currently in use in the city. Bill Williams was at the meeting and provided the city information of other options for polycart purchases.

7. Discussion and possible action to declare an emergency to wave bids for the purchase and/or lease of polycarts, dumpsters, and trash trucks for the operations of the trash service for the City of Collinsville. -- approved

8. Adjournment. TIME: 7:28pm
