The OKWA Kids State Wrestling Championships were held in Tulsa, Oklahoma Feb. 16 and 17th. We have 4 State Champions: Nate Keim Div. 2 52lbs, Wyatt Jordan Div. 3 76lbs, Dylan Helm Div. 4 76lbs, and Gary Harding Div. 4 80lbs. We also had several state placers: Brannon Jordan Div.2 58lbs, 5th place, Justin Walker runner up at Div. 2 61lbs, Sheaffer Smith Div. 2, 5th place , and William Steltzlen Div. 3 70lbs 4th place. Coach West Harding was also named coach of the year for the Northeast region! Congratulations to all the boys! -- Feb. 18th

The Homerun Club is designed to help the High School Baseball team with funds needed to supplement the program. Last year, the Homerun Club helped buy the lockers that are in the baseball building. The baseball program will benefit from all funds collected. Thank you for your support.
The new pressbox / seating at the CHS baseball field are not quite completed and the old backstop netting is gone as improvements are being rushed to be ready for the 2007 spring season. Today's scrimmage was switched to Sapulpa. (Previous Pressbox Coverage)
The new Collinsville track (at CHS) is also not completed but a portion of the fence is up. The asphalt surface is being used by the track team for practice already but the final surface is still waiting for consistant warmer weather. (Previous Coverage)
The CHS annual track pie auction will be March 6th (6pm) in the HS commons and catered by Chili's.
The 2007 CHS wrestling team was recognized at the CHS pep assembly Feb. 22nd. Their season is completed with the exception of sophomore Dalton Salisbury who wrestles in the 3A State Tournament in Oklahoma City Friday & Saturday. (Previous Coverage)
Baseball & Soccer Scrimmages Today Also
The CHS Boys basketball team starts 4A Regional play tonight at Glenpool -vs- Wagoner at 8pm. The boys are 15-7. (Previous Coverage)
The CHS Girls basketball team starts their regional play tonight at 6:30 -vs- Inola (at Glenpool). They are 20-2 and have won 18 in a row. The CHS band (behind the basketball team) provided music for the pep assembly and most home games this season. The CHS Cheerleaders (below) also support the Cardinals in all sports.
CHS students had a chance to see some of the faculty display their basketball skills in a timed free throw contest during today's pep rally.
Several CHS wrestlers and the wrestling coronation ladies competed in a cookie eating contest with the cheerleaders doing the official cookie counting.
The basketball seniors competed in a basketball version of musical chairs with Chance Riley and Kaycee Donelson surviving longest and Chance grabbing the final seat.
Dalton Salisbury (left) will be making his second trip to the State Wrestling Tournament. This year at 160 pounds. Dalton earned a trip last year as a freshman at 140 pounds. (Last Year)
Rachel Morgans has been "learning the rules" as Carson The Cardinal this basketball season.
