CHS Volleyball Update
This last weekend, the varsity volleyball team competed in the Claremore Tournament, and won four matches against El Reno (twice), Lincoln Christian, and Guymon. The team has really started to come together and ended the tournament tied for third. Other teams competing in the tournament were Claremore, Carl Albert, McAlester, Catoosa with McAlester winning the championship over Catoosa. Kelsi West was named to the all-tournament team.

Last night the teams traveled to Catoosa. The 7th grade and the JV won their matches while the 8th and 9th grades along with the Varsity were defeated. The Varsity won their second game against Catoosa but were unable to maintain the momentum required to win. Nevertheless, winning a game against Catoosa is a real confidence builder.

We compete tonight at home against Glenpool with all 5 teams competing. The matches begin at 4.

Thank you again! -- Keli Harrell -- (August 28, 2007)
