The CHS Football Cardinals played #1 ranked Wagoner close (3-7 at half after trading turnovers) before Wagnor pulled away in the second half with punt plays key to short scoring drives.

Kevin Phillips (#11) returned Wagoner's kickoff (after their TD at 2:04 in the 2nd quarter) out to the 35 yard line (ending in this flip) with 1:55 left in the half to set up the Cardinals only score (a Tyler Chronister field goal) as the 2nd quarter ended.
Wagoner drove from their own 33 to the Cardinal 5 on the opening possssion of the game but a bad pitch was recovered by Collinsville (above) at the 10 yard line.
Tyler Nair (#46) provides a block for Kyle Lee Smith (#2) to reach the Wagoner 39 on the Card's initial possession. That drive covered fom their own 10 to Wagoner's 37 and ended with a Tyler Chronister punt pinning Wagoner at their 5 yard line.
I'll give Tyler Chronister (#5) credit for letting this pass fall to the ground intentionally (instead of intercepting at the 5) after he prevented Wagoner from converting on this 4th down try and Collinsville took over at their own 33 about 5 minutes before half time.
Stopped Temporarily -- The Collinsville defense stopped Wagoner just a few inches short of the goal line in this pile up. Wagoner scored on the next play at 2:04 in the 2nd quarter and the PAT kick made it 0-7. The drive had started at Collinsville's 38 following a fumble recovery.
Tyler Nair (#46) made this catch over a diving Wagoner defender and reached Wagoner's 45 on Collinsville's only scoring drive.
Kevin Phillips (#11) caught this Tyler Chronister (#5) pass at the 16 yard line with 8 seconds left before half time. Chronister lost 2 yards and used all but 1/2 second of the first half clock on the next play.
This Tyler Chronister field goal (as the clock expired just before half time) provided the only Collinsville points on the scoreboard Friday at Wagoner.
