Worth It -- Nick Green (#55) gets a crown in the face for a kiss (from Homecoming Queen Addie Upky) above and an elbow in the face for protecting Tyler Chronister (directly behind him) for a PAT kick after the final Cardinal TD in the 4th quarter.
Tyler Chronister (#5) scored Collinsville's first touchdown from the 6 yard line in the first quarter (6:22). The TD followed a Kyle Rush punt block on Skiatook's second possession giving the Cards the ball at Skiatook's 23 yard line.
Momentum Swing -- On the first play from scrimmage after Collinsville initial TD, Skiatook scored an apparent 80 yard touchdown (above) that was called back to their own 46 by penalty. On the next play Kyle Rush (#32) recovered a Skiatook fumble (below).
Kyle Lee Smith (#2) scored the second Collinsville touchdown 45 seconds before the end of the 1st quarter. The play started at the 18 and Kyle broke free from some would-be tacklers at about the 5. Smith also started the drive by intercepting a Skiatook pass. Chronister's extra point kick was good for a 14-0 Cardinal lead.
The north top corner of the home stands were filled by CHS Class of 1996 members as part of their 10-year reunion activities this weekend.
The Collinsville Crimson Cadet Band "rode" their "Carnival" train onto Sallee Field for more of their unfolding 2006 marching program Friday night.
