One of Only 3 Cherokee Satellite Tag Offices Outside Tahlequah
Will Serve Several Counties
Collinsville citizens (and those from many surrounding counties) wishing to buy Cherokee car tags will no longer need to travel to Tahlequah (or Gore or Adair). They can now stop in Collinsville at 105 E. Main (across from the American Bank of Oklahoma) and purchase their tags. Cherokee Chief Chad Smith, Collinsville Mayor Stan Sallee, Cherokee Councilmen Buel Anglen and Bill Johnson and Collinsville Chamber Commerce President Steve Howe spoke at the opening ceremony and ribbon cutting today. A reception was held across the street at the bank after the ribbon cutting. The Cherokee Nation also has a Housing Authority office in Collinsville at 14th & Broadway.
One of the first customers was buying a tag before the ribbon was even cut this morning in the little house recently vacated by Home Town Real Estate (who have moved just next door to the east). The new Collinsville business has two full time employees.
