ARKADELPHIA – Henderson State University will observe homecoming Oct. 30-Nov. 5 with a week full of activities. The celebration will culminate with the Battle of the Ravine on Nov. 4 as the Reddies host their crosstown rivals from Ouachita Baptist University.

The 2006 homecoming queen will be crowned before the game. Twenty-seven students have been selected as candidates for the homecoming court. They will be presented during a ceremony Monday at 6:30 on the Quad. The student body will select 10 finalists who will be announced Thursday night during the traditional bonfire. Students will vote on Friday to select the queen, who will be announced Saturday during the pre-game ceremony which begins at 2:30 p.m.

Janine Kesterson, a junior from Collinsville, Okla., is a homecoming queen candidate.
