The Bacone College Dancers were a no-show but plenty of business was discussed at the May 9th Victory Cherokee Organization meeting.
The top photo shows the VCO officers confering at the May meeting. District 8 Cherokee Councilman Buel Anglen addressed the Collinsville meeting on topics ranging from his May 13th Hog Fry to a possible vote by Cherokee citizens on a constitutional change in response to the recent ruling allowing tribal benefits to "Cherokee Freemen".
Member of the Collinsville Garden Club were working to improve the landscape around the office of Collinsville Downtown, Inc. Saturday morning.
There were plants on sale at the corner of 10th and Main Saturday May 13th.
The Collinsville Farmer's Market willl open Saturday June 3rd at the plaza area next to City Hall on 12th Street. The market will be open 8-11am on Saturday and Wednesday mornings. The fair barns had been the previous location of the market.
Tuttle beat Oologah Saturday for the 4A State H.S. baseball title. Bishop Kelly topped 5A. Union beat Owasso for the 6A title Monday night.
