Oologah 9th Grade Girls Take Title
Tulsa Seven Conference Champs -- Ninth Grade Basketball Cardinals -- (L-R Standing) Coach Art Smalygo, Marlin Craft (#44), Dom Iannapollo (#33), Adam Harrell (#22), and Dalton Rasmussen (#10) -- (Kneeling) Cody Inbody (#3), Jono Nair (#5) and Kyle Rush (#12).
Tulsa Seven Conference Champs -- Ninth Grade Basketball Mustangs
Cody Inbody was on the floor several times in the finals game today and jumped right up to continue play. This followed a scary situation in the semi-finals game where he was unable to move after hitting the floor with his head and the resulting trauma.
These freshman Lady Cards are used to being coached by Arlin Stacy but it was odd to see their head Coach Rhonda Rogers leave their game before it was completed today. She was in the difficult position of having 2 teams with overlapped big games. She turned the 9th grade game over to Coach Stacy so she could coach the 8th grade girls in their conference finals at Glenpool. I haven't heard any Glenpool results yet. -- Ted
Collinsville's 9th Grade Boys beat Bristow 50-28 for the conference title after having lost twice to Bristow earlier in the season. The 9th Grade Lady Cards lost to Oologah 32-37 for 2nd place in the conference.
It was announced at the varsity game that the Collinsville 8th grade boys had won their conference championship also. They played at Glenpool.
