Collinsville's Piggly Wiggly (grocery store on 17th between Main and Broadway) was closed Tuesday evening when I drove by. The signs read "closed until Fri or Sat". I had a second hand report Monday that the walls were bulging and the roof leaking inside due to the heavy snow. Tuesday was the first day I even had my car out of the garage so I don't know when the closure started. -- Ted -- 12/5/2006
The back entry to Simple Treasures (1112 W. Main) was blocked by a huge ice flow Tuesday.
These birds acted as if it was a nice spring day as they bathed in the melting ice & snow puddles Tuesday in the alley behind the Newspaper Museum.
The gutters on the new Fire/EMS building were heavily damaged by the snow and ice sliding off the roof.

I'm sure there has been much more snow damage (& pretty sights?) but if I don't know about them (via your emails) they won't be on cvilleok.com. -- Ted
