The newest NHS members took their oath and signed the register for the Collinsville High School National Honor Society for 2006-2007.
Kelsey Cartwright lit her officer's candle for the last time at CHS Tuesday night.
Leslie Smalygo received her NHS certificate from the NHS sponsor Rusty Poindexter.
Willie Horn (and all of the seniors) received their honor cord from Rusty Poindexter. They will be wearing these at graduation in a few weeks.

I was pleasantly surprised and truly honored to be named by such a great group of students as the first "Honorary Member" of Collinsville High School's National Honor Society at the ceremony April 25, 2006. I don't know if they realize that the number of years since I graduated from CHS in 1969 would double most of their ages. I'm not sure when NHS started here but I'm pretty sure it was not active here in my high school days. -- Ted Wright
